Chicken Palava

This recipe sounds effing amazinggggg! I think I'm going to wait until I go home and make this for my mom during Spring break. That way I'll have more space to move around in the kitchen, plus I don't think many people here would appreciate this recipe.

My roommate only eats like 10 things, lol. :)

Chicken Palava via a random blog i found through Foodgawker.com

P.S. - found another great and easy recipe to make when I go home for spring break for the moms. Spicy Shrimp yummmmm.

Well babes, it's almost been a week and I've been M I A. Sorries! I has tow exams on Tuesday and ever since then, I've been playing catch up and sleep constantly it seems.

I totally found an amazing blog today, and I'm sure that I'm terribly late, but owell. Better late than never.

Check out Glamazonsblog.com

It's very chic and knowledgeable concerning high fashion and such, but it's definitely geared towards African American women.

Green Bean Salad

OK, So I just found this recipes for a green bean salad at allrecipes.com

Green Bean Salad

I'm extra hype because I was just stumbling and found this article by a gentleman discussing his weight loss and talking about how he was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes, and had to learn how to really eat well and fix healthy food. The title was "fat people can't cook" and he talked about how we are sort of trained in America to eat what is bad for us, and that there are too many carbs in our diet, etc. He wasn't saying cut all carbs out, but he was saying we eat way too damn much. Basically that you need to focus on lean meats, fish, and vegetables. (Nothing I haven't heard before). He came off rather convincing though. Made me ponder my diet for when I return home after the summer.

When I go home I'll be buying all my food, I'm sure, because my mother literally doesn't go grocery shopping. I swear I don't know what that woman eats. There hasn't been a loaf of bread in the house since I left for college. Anyways, with my new start and fresh life (back at home, ironic sort of) I think I'll really focus on my health and diet.

I would say I would do it now... but I feel like that is just a big lie/#fail while being in college. Eh, we'll see nonetheless.

Anyways, the recipe sounds delicious, green beans are my favorite vegetable, and maybe when I get paid, I'll try this one out. I LOVE feta, so that is definitely a plus concerning this recipe.

Anyways, as always, Have fun!

PS (I'm to lazy to really edit this post, so please, ignore the grammatical/structural issues with this post. Thanks)

MY FAVORITE FOOD!

Macaroni & Cheese! I love finding new recipes for macNcheese when I stumble, and I happened to just find this one over at kevinandamanda.com

Kevin & Amanda's macNcheese recipe

I poked around a bit on their site and it looks like they have a plethora (GRE points!) of tasty recipes! I never feel like I have enough time to make the recipes I find... or maybe I'm being testy, idk. I don't like to do things unless I feel like I can devote my entire focus to it, and being in school, it's hard to find a good block of time to yourself and devoid of any pressing things to do.

Anyways, maybe I'll try this one out soon, it's SUPERDUPER simple.

Have fun!
